What Happens After A Recruitment Evening

After the recruitment evening the new cadets will form a group known as Hawk Flight. The group of new cadets will stay together throughout their initial basic training. Whilst with Hawk Flight the cadets are taught a number of different subject areas including: The RAF, Drill & Uniform, Aviation Subjects, Map Reading, Radio Communications & First Aid. The instructors on the training flight are both cadet NCOs (non commissioned officers) and adult staff. On completion of training the new cadets are enrolled and move into one of the two main flights.

New Volunteer Adult Staff

The Squadron is always looking for new adult staff to join the unit. Whether you were a cadet in the past, have an interest in one of the subjects we teach or have no past experience. There are numerous different roles carried out by Adult Staff, if you interested please contact us.
